There are two basic types of caskets, Metal & Wood.

Metal caskets are known for protective qualities and unique finishes. They are made from bronze, copper, and steel.

Wood caskets are known for their natural warmth and beauty. They are priced by the wood species, interior, and craftsmanship. They are constructed like fine furniture and have unique grain patterns.
