Ceil B. McNichols, age 91 of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 18, 2007 at Bethel Home in Oshkosh. She was born in Minooka, Pennsylvania on June 8, 1916, the daughter of the late James and Julia McHugh Dobson. Ceil was a homemaker, an avid reader, and enjoyed bowling with her daughter. Ceil was a loving mother and grandmother, who will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her two children, Sharon (James) Cunningham, Oshkosh, and Jay (Marlene) Burkhart, of Dallas, PA, one special stepson, Steven Schumacher, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ceil was preceded in death by three husbands, Robert F. Burkhart, who died in 1969, James J. McNichols, died 1995, Darwin O. Schumacher, died 1999, an infant daughter, Julieanne, one brother, John Dobson, and one sister, Kathryn Sullivan. Funeral Services for Ceil will be held on Friday October 26, 2007 at The Chapel of Faith and Life, inside of Bethel Home (225 N. Eagle St.) at 11:00 A.M., with the Rev. Fr. Thomas Reynebeau officiating. Visitation will be held from10:00 A.M. until the time of services. A special thanks to the nurses and staff at Bethel Home's Dementia Unit, for all the wonderful care and compassion that was given to Ceil and her family, while she was a resident there.
