Kathy Jo Kelsey

Berlin/Black River Falls/Whitehall, Wis. - Kathy Jo Kelsey, age 47, passed away on Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, in Mercy-Oakwood Medical Center in Oshkosh.

She was born on Feb. 11, 1960, in Black River Falls to Mike and Opal (Oligney) Olson. She was raised on a farm near Merrillan and she married David Kelsey in Taylor.

The couple lived in Whitehall.

Kathy was a gardening enthusiast who enjoyed all that the outdoors entailed. She was an avid reader and she enjoyed antiquing and all types of music. Most of all Kathy enjoyed life and all those who crossed her path.

Kathy is survived by a daughter Alisha Thompson, Blair; two sons, Michael Kelsey, New Bern, N.C.; and Lucas Kelsey, Charleston, N.C.; two grandchildren, Drew and Darian Thompson, Blair; former husband David Kelsey, Whitehall; her father Oluff "Mike" Olson (special friend Marion Olson), Merrillan; three sisters, Linda Lee, Eau Claire, Kristy (Ron) Brown, Black River Falls, Sue (Steve Schluter) Neville, McFarland; three brothers, Michael (Diane Meyer) Olson, Hudson; David (Susan) Olson and Marty (Jill) Olson, both of Black River Falls.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Mercy Medical Center for the compassion and professionalism they showed for and to our family.
