Richard "Dick" Abell


Richard Abell, age 66, passed away on April 7, 2008 at University Hospital in Madison due to complications from pneumonia. Richard was born in Oshkosh on December 10, 1941, son of the late Edward C. and Peg Abell. He resided most of his life in Oshkosh, Menasha and Colorado, and proudly served his country in the United States Army in Korea. Richard is survived by four children, Ed of Colorado, Tom of California, Debbie and Steve of Neenah, one sister Jackie (Jim) Soley, one brother Robert Abell, twelve grandchildren, two nieces, Peg (Fred) Gierke and Pam (Don) Daczyk, one great-niece Jackie (Paul) Schulz, one great-nephew Jim (Abby) Daczyk, and several other relatives and dear friends. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering for Richard will be held on Saturday April 19, 2008 from 11:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel in Oshkosh. A private family burial will take place in Lake View Memorial Park at a later date.
